Sweet Tart Japanese Chin Adult Male in Lebanon, Pennsylvania

My story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet Tart came to PLPR in horrible condition and we truly didn't know if he would survive. He was surrendered to the NYACC as a stray. When he arrived to our care he was emaciated, anemic, smelled like old bay seasoning, had a grade 5 heart murmur, and worst of all he had a softball sized tumor in his groin. This little guy was miserable so he immediately went to a specialty ER where he was hospitalized, made comfortable, and had a slew of diagnostics including a CT scan and cardiac consult. Within two weeks he had surgery with one of the best surgeons we know and she successfully removed the massive tumor that originated from an undescended testicle. When he was discharged, it was a long road, but he healed, gained weight, and he was finally happy to be pain free. Sweet Tart now has completely normal bloodwork, his heart murmur has improved to a grade 2, and best of all the tumor biopsy came back inconclusive which means no cancer and all the diagnostics he had agree! Now this 8 year old, 10 pound beautiful boy is ready to find his happily ever after. Sweet Tart is very outgoing and sweet except when it comes to grooming, he hates that part so he does wear a muzzle for the task. He rides well in a car, is house trained, leash trained, crate trained, and loves other dogs. He loves to run around outside, play with his furry foster siblings, snuggle in bed, and just being pain free. Sweet Tart is a quiet guy unless he gets really excited then he will bark. He can be a little growly yet when you pick him up, but that has improved as he is getting to realize it doesn't hurt anymore. This little guy will be a great addition for a lucky family who will give him time to settle in and trust. Will you be this boys dream come true?
