You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet Tart came to Peace Love and Poms Rescue from the NYACC where he was surrendered as a stray in horrible condition. He is emaciated, anemic, has a grapefruit size tumor in his groin, and a heart murmur. After arriving to PLPR on 2/28/22 he was admitted to a specialty ER. He needs a blood transfusion, fluids, and pain management to be stabilized. He will have a cardiac consult and ultrasound to further investigate the tumor. He is intact so this could very well be a testicular tumor, cancer, or a benign growth. He is peeing and pooping which is a good thing. So far our estimate just to stabilize Sweet Tart is $3000. If the tumor is surgical he will need a cardiac work up due to a significant heart murmur = $600, a CT scan to get 3D imaging for the surgeon = $3000, and if he goes in for surgery = $6000

So, to whoever did this to this beautiful boy and allowed him to suffer because he is in SEVERE pain and CRITICAL condition, don't worry we will try to clean up your neglect! At 8 years old, no dog deserves this, and to find himself in a shelter as a stray..... our hearts hurt and we are shedding tears for this boy we just met.
